Newton Plan Dublin Port

Most of Dublin Port should be located at Braemore Balbriggan as it has suitable deep water. This is
part of our thinking of using more ports around the country with our proposed rail network to
reduce truck mileage to aid Climate Change. Facilitates larger ships to smaller ships for distribution.

A key part of the Newton port plan would be the relocating the sea ferries from existing termini to
Alexander Basin at James Clarke vehicle bridge at the Point Village roundabout. This would allow
direct access to many parts of country by rail in our proposed rail network. Cork, Galway, Wexford,
Sligo, and Belfast lines would operate from Alexander Basin for sailing times.

This location will be well serviced by public transport. As well as country trains, it will be served by
Luas, city bus, Country bus, Dart, and Local rail networks. It will also be within cycling range for
some.
